Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, students will be able to identify some significant groups of people promoting changes to the world of work.

Introduction

Starter activity - Individual activity. Hand out a hard copy of the Impact worksheets to all students. Ask the students to read through the description of the groups of people and to state who they think they might be and what changes they were facing or trying to bring about. After a few minutes, discuss their responses and display the PowerPoint to add some of the words that the students use about the different groups alongside the images.

Activity

The class could be split to make this either a partnered activity or remain an individual activity as required.

Introduce the activity. Students will work on computers, accessing the recommended websites to gather information for a script for a TV news programme article about one of the selected groups.
