This lesson looks at how it is important to keep up with change to be enterprising.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, students will appreciate how they could keep ahead of the field by researching what developments are happening related to potential jobs.

Introduction

Whole class activity. Discuss the ways that news of change is spread, e.g. news bulletins, papers, magazines, internet. Display the accompanying PowerPoint to expand the discussion to include the specialist programmes that are available to discuss business and the world of work.

Discuss the type of news and changes that these programmes report. Ask them about programmes suitable for their age group – what would they want, what is available? What would be valuable update information for them to access?
