Conservation Issues

By using different media and activities, the students will widen their scope on the subject of conservation, but not before focusing on what conservation actually means. This will remind the students of past work that they have done and encourage them to make links in their study.

The teaching resources provide useful websites and a range of worksheets for the students to use. The National Trust and the Wildlife Trusts are researched, and what such large organisations do will increase the learning of the children. Different elements within the research are considered, such as pollution and what economic problems may be faced by the organisations. The lesson culminates with a table to visualise and organise the results of students’ research.

This is lesson 3 of 4 in the volunteering module.
