Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, students will have carried out a full SWOT analysis based on a case study that requires them to review all they’ve learned about enterprise.

Introduction

Display the accompanying PowerPoint. Discuss the SWOT analysis that they are to carry out. Explain that they are to draw together all of the knowledge that they have acquired from the other sections and apply it to the analysis.

Ask students to consider:

- Certainty/uncertainty
- How positively people would respond to the change
- What new ideas would have to be brought into the business and how they would be developed
- What would need to be in the new business plan that would have to be drawn up
- What the risks and rewards would be
