Sharing Research Lesson Plan

This lesson plan is the third and final one in a series of three that looks at Career Research, which links to other topics within Careers. The teaching materials include a script that outlines the class activities and the main aims of the lesson, so teachers can confidently deliver an informative and engaging lesson to pupils.

This final lesson brings everything from the previous two lessons together by reporting group work to the rest of the class, before going on to new activities to further engage the students, especially those who learn in different ways. By incorporating role-play such as job interviews and a ‘first day at work,’ relating to the topic, and different groups’ previous work, a creative and more engaging side to the topic is established. Each group will perform their role-play to the rest of the class, and provides a competitive edge with the use of a score system. This teaching resource is a fun, engaging end to the topic that is sure to cement what the pupils have already learned in their minds.
