Overview
Made up of 3 20 minute max activities, this module takes learning objects taken from key stage 3 and 4 programmes of study for Economic Well-being:
1:1 Career
1 Understanding that everyone has a career
2 Developing a personal sense of identity for career progression
3 Understanding all aspects of employability, including qualities, attitudes and skills needed
1:2 Capability
Understanding the process of making both creative and realistic plans for transition
Introduction
To start, ask the pupils to call out as many different qualifications they can think of that are available to them after the age of 16, and write them down on the board. Ie: A’Levels, AS Levels, Vocational A’Levels, NVQ’s and maybe diplomas.
Make sure apprenticeships are mentioned and explain that this will be the main focus of today’s lesson
