School Leavers Assembly Plan

This assembly is aimed at pupils who are leaving key stage 4, but can be adapted for younger groups.

The assembly begins with a visual reminder of how far the students have come in the few years they have been in school, before addressing the concerns they may now be facing.

Students are reminded about how easy it will be for them to stay in touch with the friends they have made over the years with the use of Facebook, Twitter and so on. They are also encouraged to think of this time as an opportunity to grow and evolve.

The assembly goes on to show an excerpt from a speech made by Steve Jobs, which talks about dealing with change and how you can learn from your mistakes.

The assembly concludes with some inspirational messages about succeeding and the presentation ends with a YouTube clip about motivation.
