Exam Advice Assembly

This assembly resource for exam advice is relatable to the PSHE and Citizenship programmes of study, and contains a teacher script and a PowerPoint presentation.

The assembly plan runs through various questions for the students to ask themselves in the time leading up to their exams. The example of the first time that a student will go into town by themselves is given in relation to advice offered by their parent, and likens that advice to what a teacher will offer going into an exam. The assembly script then outlines that it is down to the student whether or not they take that advice and actually apply it.

Exam stress and the problems that it could cause are touched upon, and whoever delivers the assembly will explain how teachers and parents alike are just trying to do what is best for the students. The assembly plan uses quotes and poems to try and get the message across to students that advice is only offered and not forced, as well as the fact that pupils undergoing exams can only prepare and do their best.
