American Presidents Assembly Plan

This assembly resource about the American presidents is to ensure students know how important America as a country is in the context of world politics. The resource goes back to the signing of the American Declaration of Independence in 1776 and how the America we know today was founded.

By using video material and an accompanying PowerPoint presentation, the assembly looks at today’s American President. It explores other past presidents and what effect they had on the world, such as Franklin D. Roosevelt, who introduced social security during the Great Depression in the early 20th Century.

It is important that the students understand what influence America holds, and how much power rests with their president. The pupils will learn about how America and their economy have a massive impact on our lives.
