National Stress Day Assembly

This assembly is designed to inform students about the aims of stress awareness day. It includes an assembly script for teachers and a PowerPoint presentation, and is also relatable to PSHE and Citizenship in the classroom.

The assembly plan begins by addressing the primary aim of National Stress Day, along with a quote from a leading figure from the International Stress Management Association, which outlines the importance of taking active measures to reduce the effects of stress. The warning signs of stress are then given to students in the assembly, as well as identifying what frustrates people in everyday life. Conflicts and pressures that people come under are observed, as well as other factors that include a healthy diet and lifestyle.

The assembly ends with a very pertinent poem that encourages putting things into perspective and relaxing, which should make students reflect that they should enjoy life. By informing the students of stress and using National Stress Day as a way to put that message across to them, the assembly resource will encourage and support a healthy, happy school environment.
