Steve Jobs Assembly

This assembly resource looks at the life and accomplishments of one of the greatest men to have lived in the past century, Steve Jobs. His innovations and ideas have shaped the world we live in today, and this assembly pays tribute to him by highlighting his seemingly never ending list of massive achievements. The assembly materials include a script for teachers and an accompanying PowerPoint presentation to help visualise and emphasise certain aspects of the assembly.

The assembly begins by introducing the early life of a man who would one day change the world. His early years are charted, touching on the fact that he was adopted, and that he wasn’t academically outstanding in school – even that he drifted for a while without knowing what he was going to do. The assembly resource tells of how he began building a personal computer with his friend from school, Steve Wozniak, in their garage. It goes on to chart how the company lost a lot of money in 1985 and how Steve Jobs lost his job, and his subsequent return that culminated in the iPod and related products.

The assembly plan looks at how Steve Jobs influenced so many different things in the world, such as his input in Disney Pixar and the Toy Story films, among other things. The students can take real inspiration from what Steve Jobs did, as well as what he said which is shown on the PowerPoint presentation. Such inspiration from a man who created one of the biggest companies the world has ever seen, who had such an appetite and love for his work, is sure to encourage and inspire students to chase their dreams.
